What the Brain is

The Brain is where HTO keeps notes about your work. Each workspace has its own Brain, and every chat in the workspace starts from it.

Notes about your work

A note covers one thing, such as a client, a project, a meeting or a decision. Notes sit in folders, such as Clients or Meetings, and link to each other and to the files they came from. When you ask a chat about a client, HTO reads the notes on that client first.

Your team shares the Brain of a team workspace. Everyone’s AI works from the same notes, so a decision one person writes down reaches every chat.

Where it lives

The Brain is a folder inside your workspace, in Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox or on your Mac. Each note is a text file in that folder. You keep your notes when you stop using HTO Labs.

How the Brain grows

  • Scout reads your folder. When you make a workspace, Scout plans the first notes from your files. Read Let HTO read your folder.
  • Your chats suggest notes. HTO looks at what you decided in a chat and suggests what to keep. Read Keep what a chat learned.
  • You write notes yourself. Open a note in the Brain tree and change it like any document.

A chat changes a note only after you approve the change. Brain Health checks that the notes stay in order. Read Keep your Brain healthy.
