Where your files are kept

Your files stay where you keep them: on your Mac, or in your own Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox, or in HTO Labs’ cloud if you choose it. HTO Labs works with them where they are.

Your files

A workspace is a folder you choose. HTO Labs reads the files in it when you ask, with your own AI on your Mac. Scout and the chats leave your files where they are and unchanged.

Your Brain

Your Brain is a folder of plain notes in your workspace, next to your files. Because the notes are ordinary files, you can open, copy or back them up like any other file.

What HTO Labs keeps

HTO Labs’ own cloud keeps what makes the app work for your team: your workspaces’ settings, pages, messages and the members of your team. The Privacy Policy lists everything we keep and why.

A workspace’s owner can also keep its files in HTO Labs’ cloud, in Frankfurt in the EU, from Settings, General, Files on the web: as the workspace’s home when it has no other cloud, or as a copy of the light files from OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox, so htolabs.com and phones open them quickly. Nothing goes there until the owner chooses it and accepts the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement.
