Bring in a CSV file or Airtable

You can start a table from data you already have: a spreadsheet saved as a CSV file, or the tables of an Airtable base.

From a CSV file

In Tables, press Add or import and choose From a CSV file. Pick the file. HTO Labs reads it as spreadsheets write it, including Danish Excel files with semicolons and decimal commas, and it guesses each column’s type. You can change a field’s type afterwards.

Rows you copied from a spreadsheet can go in the same way: choose Paste data, paste them with the names of the columns first, and press Make the table.

From Airtable

To bring in Airtable, your workspace needs an Airtable connection first. Read Connect your accounts. Then press Add or import and choose From Airtable.

Pick the base.

HTO Labs reads your bases through the connection and lists them.

Pick the tables.

Tick the tables you want. HTO Labs makes them, with their fields, and then copies every record.

Links between the tables you bring in stay links. A link to a table you left behind comes in as the linked records’ names. HTO Labs only reads Airtable, so your base stays as it is.
