Personal and shared accounts

Each connection is personal or shared. Its row in Settings › Connections says which: Only you, or Shared with the name of the person who connected it.

Personal accounts

A sign-in that acts as you is personal. GitHub, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, Google Search Console, Vercel, Canva, Supabase and Resend are personal. Only you see and use your personal account. Each member adds their own, so your chat reads your Outlook, and a teammate’s chat reads theirs.

Shared accounts

Meta, with your Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts, is shared with the workspace. So is Airtable when an owner connects it. Workspace owners add and change shared accounts. Everyone in the workspace uses them as their workspace access allows.

A member can also connect their own Airtable or a custom address. It is then personal, and only they use it. An owner who adds a custom address chooses with Share with the workspace.

Who can add what

RoleConnections
OwnerAdds personal and shared accounts, and changes the shared ones.
MemberAdds and changes their own personal accounts.
GuestSees the workspace’s connections and adds none.

Tip: when a chat offers to connect a service, its card says who will use the account: “Only you can use it” or “Everyone in the workspace can use it.”
